Creating a brand and logo design for this very different school had to take into account the nature of the care, education and nurturing environment autistic children need. Central to this was the logo design, which adopted a three-tier approach. A representation of students, staff, parents, and family was focused on a central point that brings them all together as a community by the AKS School, bound together by Arabic values. The dynamic design captured these principles, while a soft colour palette of pastels reflects the calming atmosphere the school creates for its pupils.
As well as a transferable logo, the brief included designs and concepts for stationery, environmental graphics and signage, art direction, copywriting, and website design.
The result is a distinctive and cohesive brand identity for an organisation with high moral values and a caring, all-embracing approach to specialist education for autistic children.
