Hermes Luxury Travel Brochure & Packaging

This was an excellent demonstration of the power of collateral branding and graphic design, and involved creating bespoke rate and information cards, packaging, and travel brochures for internationally-famous travel brand, Hermes Retreats.

They operate Olarro Reserve, one of Kenya’s most luxurious reserves, as well as five-star retreats in Thailand and the Seychelles.

Our brief was to design and develop a luxury travel brochure, as well as packaging for multiple travel brochures for the group’s luxury properties. They had to not only capture the spirit and character of the destinations, but had to also conform to the brand’s existing identity.

We were asked to create a broad range of deliverables including packaging design, brochure and booklet design, visualisation that worked with the existing brand identity, bespoke illustrations, print management, an effective email marketing campaign, and copywriting that reinforced the visual representations.

One of the key elements of the brief was the boxing or packaging to hold the brochures. It had to be unique, high-end, and a real ‘show-stopper’. To aid in this, we commissioned renowned illustrator and visual artist Elena Belokrinitski. The box was lined with a bespoke illustration by her that was in contrast to the outer packaging. The box design was completed with tactile paper stocks and gold foiling.
