Enjoy a night under the stars at the Burj Al Arab’s new sky deck, UMA. This brand has been inspired by Ursa Major, a seven-star constellation, for a seven-star hotel.

Adding to the Burj Al Arab's already impressive list of F&B establishments, UMA is an ultra-exclusive champagne and cocktail bar, located in the gardens of the iconic seven-star hotel.

Situated at the base of the Burj Al Arab, with unspoiled views over the Gulf and onto Dubai Marina, UMA has been created exclusively for guests of the Burj Al Arab. The new F&B venue features a star deck, so guests can gaze into the magical Arabian night sky, whilst enjoying expertly crafted cocktails, and a selection of the most exclusive champagnes and cigars.

Formulate were approached by Jumeirah to design and develop an elegant brand that would encapsulate all of the above. We created a unique, seven-pointed star, a subtle nod to the seven stars that the hotel has been awarded, paired with a custom serif typeface, and a deep blue colour palette, we created a brand which oozes luxury, style and sophistication.

Along with the branding, Formulate designed the menus, using gold leaf in the printing, and pearlescent paper stock, reading the menu feels like looking into the stars.
